 I am back with a new post and it is about Daniel Craig's final outing as James bond No Time To Die. I have been waiting for this movie so long and finally it is here. I also try to not spoil anything important and will warn about it if I do. No Time To Die (Final International Trailer) Synopsis: James Bond has left active service, however his peace is short-lived when his old friend from CIA, Felix Leiter turns up and is in need of help. He leads Bond onto a trail of a mysterious villain with dangerous new technology. My thoughts: First of all I want to say that Daniel Craig has done a really great job as bond for the past 15 years as Bond. This version of Bond really stands out as a more vulnerable and human version of Bond than anyone else before him. And as such I think this Bond film works as a really good outing for him in this role.  Unfortunately it has been a while since my last post but, I am back here with a vengeance and a new review of a movie called The Father. Now this will be quite short and to the point as I don't have too much to say about this movie.   Synopsis:  The Father was directed by  Florian Zeller and it tells the story a father (Anthony Hopkins) dealing with dementia, he forgets where he is, who his daughter is and as he tries to make since of the changing circumstances he begins to doubt his loved ones, his own mind and even the fabric of reality. My Thoughts:  I will start by saying I really liked this film, now this is the kind of movie that I don't often watch, but I am glad I did. First of all I like how the story is told from the perspective of The Father played by Anthony Hopkins, as this gives us as the audience some perspective how it feels to have dementia or alzheimer's. It is a espionage drama/thriller and it takes place during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Synopsis: Greville Wynne (Benedict Cumberbatch) a British Businessman is recruited by the MI6 and the CIA to provide crucial intelligence to prevent nuclear war between the Soviet Union and USA. To do this he forms a covert partnership with Oleg Penkovsky (Merab Ninidze) a Soviet officer. My thoughts: I enjoyed this film and don't have too much anything bad to say about it. I think Benedict Cumberbatch does an excellent job as usual, he is believable, he has depth and brings emotion to the character and the movie.  Licence to Kill is Timothy Dalton's second appearance in a Bond film after The Living Daylights and is also his last Bond film. Synopsis: A drug lord that James Bond and his friend Felix Leiter arrested in the opening scene escapes and brutally murders Felix's wife and leaves Felix for dead. After this Bond goes rogue and infiltrates an organization posing as a hitman, while seeking vengeance for those responsible. My thoughts: I do think this movie is good and it is one of the more underrated Bond films. I think Timothy Dalton is well suited for the role and brings a certain darkness to the character. This movie can be seen as a sort of predecessor for Daniel Craig's grittier Bonds. One of the reasons why this movie was not received as well is probably that people were not ready for a grittier James Bond film.
