James bond No Time To Die review

I am back with a new post and it is about Daniel Craig's final outing as James bond No Time To Die. I have been waiting for this movie so long and finally it is here. I also try to not spoil anything important and will warn about it if I do.

No Time To Die (Final International Trailer)

Synopsis: James Bond has left active service, however his peace is short-lived when his old friend from CIA, Felix Leiter turns up and is in need of help. He leads Bond onto a trail of a mysterious villain with dangerous new technology.

My thoughts: First of all I want to say that Daniel Craig has done a really great job as bond for the past 15 years as Bond. This version of Bond really stands out as a more vulnerable and human version of Bond than anyone else before him. And as such I think this Bond film works as a really good outing for him in this role. I also would say it is the best final movie any of the actors have had before him, except for maybe Timothy Dalton with Licence to Kill, which I have done a review on earlier and I think it is one of the most under rated Bond films.
To the actual points now, I really like the action sequences in this movie and I think they are directed masterfully. A good example of these is the opening sequence which leads to a car chase, which can be seen in the trailer as well. Also there is the great stunt jumping from the bridge. Very exciting and effective.
This movie had a difficult job as the earlier Daniel Craig Bond films tied together unlike other James Bond films. They had to acknowledge stuff from the past films such as Spectre or even Casino Royale, with for example what happened with Vesper and how it affected Bond. I think they dealt with that pretty well. This movie sort of ties some loose ends from the earlier films. However it also manages to be entertaining and fun. Also I'd say its more emotional than a lot of other Bond films.
Now people have gotten mad about some things in this movie and may say that it is trying to shove some sort of woke stuff, but I do not feel like they are doing that. There are a lot of movies that do that just to get praise and good attention but I don't think this film does it. People are just mad about the female agent who gets the number 007 (Lashana Lynch), which I don't get as I think she is pretty good in the movie
Daniel Craig again does a great job as Bond. He has some good action, maybe not as much as he used to as he is getting older and has got a lot of injuries in the previous films. I love Ana de Armas in the short sequence she is in. I think Rami Malek does a pretty good job as the villain, however I think the villain itself is not as good, not nearly as good as Le Chiffre in Casino Royale.
There are some amazing scenes in this movie such as the first sequence in Italy or the absolutely amazing scene in the foggy forest, which kind of looked like something from a horror film.
the film also has a satisfying finale with tons of references to previous films if you've seen the other films, especially to On Her Majesty's Secret Service, which is another great Bond film by the way.
Lastly I want to say I like the song by Billie Eilish. I also like the score by Hans Zimmer and the call backs to On Her Majesty's Secret Service.

Verdict: I'd say its a pretty damn good film to see in the theaters, so go support your local movie theaters. I give it a 7.5/10

The Courier movie review

(Theatrical release poster) The Courier (2020) is written by Tom O'Connor and directed by Dominic Cooke. It is a espionage drama/thriller and it takes place during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Synopsis: Greville Wynne (Benedict Cumberbatch) a British Businessman is recruited by the MI6 and the CIA to provide crucial intelligence to prevent nuclear war between the Soviet Union and USA. To do this he forms a covert partnership with Oleg Penkovsky (Merab Ninidze) a Soviet officer. My thoughts: I enjoyed this film and don't have too much anything bad to say about it. I think Benedict Cumberbatch does an excellent job as usual, he is believable, he has depth and brings emotion to the character and the movie. Also the other actors do a great job and I want to mention Merab Ninidze, who plays the Soviet officer who helps to provide ...
