 Hello I am back after such a long time with a new post and this time we are taking a look at Top Gun: Maverick staring Tom Cruise, Miles Teller and many more. Top Gun: Maverick is directed by Joseph Kosinski and was released 2022.

Synopsis: After 30 years one of the top aviators of the Navy, Pete Mitchell aka. Maverick is working as a test pilot and dodging advancements that would ground him, when he is called to teach a new generation of elite pilots to fly a near impossible mission.

My thoughts: Top Gun: Maverick is a solid action film with great action set peaces, some funny moments as well as some drama here and there. I myself don't really have nostalgia for the original movie as I wasn't around to watch it back then, but I do enjoy this one very much and I do think it is way better than the original one.

Now I will say this film was an absolutely phenomenal movie theater experience when I saw it, the music, the sounds, the amazing action all of it made me feel so bad ass. Just the fact that they used real planes and filmed so amazing flight scenes is just great and mind blowing to me and the effort they put into making this film is just amazing.

Also I think the characters are better built in this movie than in the original one. The characters have more depth and there is more character building in between the action scenes, which also helps to make you care more about the characters and the stakes they set up in this film. This really helps to keep the audience on the edge of their seat during the action scenes.

There is a fair amount of fan service and call backs to the original movie, which I don't mind that much as it is done pretty well and otherwise the movie is a lot better character and story wise. Also this was a very important movie for the movie theaters so I did really like it.

Verdict: A great action film an phenomenal action, music and bad ass moments and one of the best experiences in the cinema of 2022. I give it an 8/10.
